You know, your English is really good, I don't know why you were so modest in the beginning.
And the words you use are quite sophisticated. I'd say too sophisticated for the conversational English.
For example, addle. It is totally all right but I am sure I've never heard it from a native speaker. BTW, I've just looked up in Google and there are 60 "addles me" in comparison with 172000 "confuses me". The same with "unlearn German"┘ I personally would say "forget German".
Anyway, I am not a native-speaker, let's say we are practicing synonyms
