in the USA its been always called RESUME; americans NEVER use CV or Curriculum Vitae, NEVER. they dont even know that. and eveт a top CEO MUST have a ONE page resume. its an american thing...they consider that a potential employer has only 7 seconds to see that resume, not to mention that it is considered stupid to write your whole life history in the resume. they want to see only the most relevant job experience and the most relevant educational background, americans dont like too much bla bla on the resume
